OMG!!!!!

Wow!!! Wow!!! Wow!!!

Ok I am in shock so please forgive me if I ramble. After having a very tough time this past week or so and ending up in the ER a few times (michelle I am ok dont freak out when you read this I will call you Friday when your off work), I came on tonight to be more than shocked and HONOURED beyond words. Heather (you can check her blog at http://joemamainks.blogspot.com/) has given me an award. ME!!! OMG!!!! Ty! Ty! Ty! Words can not describe what I am feeling right now. It is called the KREATIV BLOGGER and you can read more about it on Heathers blog. If I can stop shacking long enough I will really try and keep this short.

After spending some more time in the ER yet again tonight I was able to finish the girls presents for their teachers. After years of giving teachers mugs, soap, chocolates etc. I decided to make something and actually made the time to do so. I figure what teacher can not use a post-it note holder. The matching card was a must. Ok I am going to say good nite now as I am having a hard time keeping my eyes open. I hope this makes sense to you all and I hope to be back with more in the next day or so.

P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EM (hope to see you soon) . Say hi to everyone at the headquarters for me.

P.S.S. Ty again Heather you totally lifted my spirits and I feel so honoured.

Day Eleven and Twelve!

Ok I think I am going to stop counting days as they go bye and just list when the next day will be, when it arrives....lol. This funny little thing called real life takes over once in a while and I loose track of the days. My sister-in-laws bridal shower invitations are finally postal, (w00t!!!!!) and I was finally able to play again. :)

I have been practicing with my copics and finally starting to get the hang of them. Now the only problem is I need more colors. The way I see it, a girl can never have enough color. :)

I had fun making these two cards!

I am also showing you Magoo and Rosies new puppies. OMG they have grown since I saw them Wednesday!!!! I am still waiting for my neighbour to email me the pictures from last Sundays bee episode and I will post those as soon as I get them.

Ok after being up late every day this week I have decided to call it a nite. I thank you all who come and visit me and I will post more tomorrow.

Day Ten Of My Mission!

Hmmmmm. There are times I feel as if I am not even making a dent in how many more projects I have to make...lol. I must say thought it sure has been fun!

My neighbour Teri asked me if I would make her a card for her grandson who graduated from kindergarten today. I was honoured. She is one of the nicest ladies I have met since moving back to Ontario. Since I don't have an actual children's graduation stamp I decided to use bellas "Ambitious Cowboy" . For those that know Brian they will know this stamp is right on the mark...lol. I was touched when I gave her the card earlier today and she loved it and would not stop thanking me.

Now on to the bridal shower invites. Let me just say they are not as easy as I thought they would be. I have made about four different cards now but I found the last one I liked the best. Elegant but simple.

The nice thing was I was able to incorporate both stamp into my mission as I had never used them before.

Ok enough yapping I still have twenty more invites that I need to finish. TY for stopping in. :) Happy Wednesday!

Day Nine!!!

Short and sweet today, as i babbled yesterday...lol.

I fell in love with this stamp when I first saw it but had not had a chance to use it yet. So I figured as I am on a mission I have to now...lol. (*twist my rubber arm to use a bella product...NOT!....lol)

Now I am off to make ohhhhh about 50 bridal shower invites at the LAST minute. *sighhhh

I will post a copy tomorrow. :) Tyfl!

Day Seven and Eight of My Mission!

Wow! I am making a habit of staying up late and its starting to catch up to me. *yawns*

First and for most I want to thank all the sistahs that left kind words for me from Saturdays post. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! You all helped me get through yesterday.

There is so much to tell you about yesterday and I am trying to figure out how much to yap...lol. Ok I will start by telling you that we were confided in our homes yesterday afternoon for about four hours. It seams a Queen Bee got away from her home and she ended up on a tree across the street from our house. Which would have been ok until we looked up and all we saw was a swarm of bee`s following her and land in the tree. One of our neighbours called a bee keeper and after capturing them all the man said when he first got the call he though there where maybe ten to twenty bees and we were over reacting. He said he would estimate that there were over ten thousand bees!!!! I was still in shock when I heard that!

The highlight of my day was coming home last nite and finding out that my puppy Magoo`s (ok he is three and a half but he is my puppy...lol) girlfriend was in labour. Off I went to her house and helped in the delivery. She had four puppies one cuter than the next. I will post a pic as soon as I have one.

Needless to say those are the two main reasons no projects were made yesterday.

Today is a different story. This coming Saturday is Zoe`s 8th birthday. Her party is Sunday so I was busy making her birthday invites so she can take them to school tomorrow. Now here is the catch...lol. Niki and Zoe are eleven and a half months apart so on Saturday till July 10th they will both be eight. Lets just say Niki does NOT! like that....lol. So I promised her I would make her a copy of her birthday invitation so she can see it in the morning and let me know if she likes it. This way I can go ahead and make more. Zoe`s birthday card was using Stamping up`s Birthday Whimsey stamp set and Niki`s was made using Tinkerbella. I got the miniature version of her and now I am kicking myself cause I want the bigger version. I am sure you can all guess what I will be picking up this week...lol.

Ok enough yapping thank you all very much for coming and taking a look at my cards and I look forward to posting again tomorrow.

Day Six Of My Mission!

Ok so its early Sunday morning...lol. But you know as I have not been to bed yet I would say this counts as a post per day for my mission...lol.

Today was a long day for all of us. We had to deal with some family issues and then had a BIG BBQ for two of Nick's aunts and their families. The BBQ was a blast I must say and a nice ending to a long day.

Today I am showing you two cards that I worked on. The first is using my new copics and please bare with me as I am still trying to master how to use them....lol. I love the cuppacakeabella. She would be one that I can use over and over and over and always find something new to do with her.

The second card I made was using the grillafella. This was a very difficult card for me to make let alone write about. It being Fathers Day today is a very bitter sweet day for me. Dad passed away on November 9, 2007. A very short seven and a half weeks after we moved back to Ontario. I was looking so forward to this being the first Fathers Day we have shared together in 13 years. He was my rock. He was my best friend. He was my everything. Having no warning that we were going to loose him has been hard. Finding him is even harder for me to deal with. Telling mom was the killer. I look up and see him. I talk to him all the time. I wish he was here. I miss him dearly. There was so much I would have wanted to say to him had we known he would be taken from us so fast. I chose to make the grillafella card for him because BBQ`ing was his favourite thing to do on Sundays. Come rain, shine, or snow he could always be seen standing with tongs. He would sit and make his famous souvlaki and sneak a few pieces when mom was not looking....lol. She always wondered why he seamed full when we sat down to eat....lol. Later today Nick and I are going to take the girls to the cemetery and leave dad some flowers. I will also leave him the card and hope that he can see it. :) Dad was a very plain man so I saw it fot to make him a nice simple card.

Ok now I will say thank you all for coming and viewing my cards but enough yapping I have tears that need to be cleaned off my face. Hope you all have a great Sunday and a very Happy Father`s Day to your other halves. :)

Day Five Of My Mission

Ohhhhhhhhhh am I glad this day is over. Between a hot sticky day and being stuck on the 401 for an hour and a half I am ready for bed. :(

On that note I will keep it short and sweet. Here is the card I finished this morning before I left to go to mom's. I am pleased with this one because I went back and did something I have not done for a while. (Stamped on the card stock to show a background instead of using my bigshot....lol ... which by the way I love!!!!) Ok enough yapping I am going to go work on tomorrows projects. :) Tyfl!

Day Four Of My Mission!!

Today has been a really fun day for me. I was able to go and visit everyone over at the Bella headquarters and hang out for a bit. The amount of talent of the staff Emily has and the sistahs that go in there to share their work is very inspiring to me.

I have found in the last year and a bit that I have been card making that there are many items I have bought that I can kick myself for when I think of the fact that I have not used any of it. The one thing I must say is a BIG Thank You to Emily, Nicky and Dena because all the items that I have purchased from Bella I have used.

Today I splurged just a bit.....(at least that's what I am going to tell Niko .... lol). I purchased my very first Copic's and OMG what can I say. They are worth every penny! Ok here is a something most of you dont know about me. I am color blind. Yes I am! (lol) So when Emily and Nicky mentioned that they would carry Copics and group them for those wanting to buy them how can I say NO! (lol) They just made my life so much easier. :)

On that note how can I not come home and not play with them. :)

Today I used them on Fifi. She is so cute and I have not used her in a while so as I am on a mission I thought I would try with her. It is my very first attempt with Copics and I know Emily and Nicky said that I would get better with practice. (Can anyone guess what I am doing tonight after everyone is in bed...lol)

The second stamp I am using is Reading Reverie. She is such a beautiful stamp. I have made a card using her in the past but today decided to use her on a post-it note holder. I am pleased with the results.

Ok enough yapping for today. I hope all you lovely ladies and gents are having a wonderful day and I will see you all with a new post tomorrow. TYFL!

Day Three Of My Mission!!!

Wow was I wrong about staying away from my bella's for to long...lol. No word of a lie it seamed that every time I went to open my binder where they are kept one or more would be calling out to me....lol. Today I decided to post four cards that I started to make last night and finished off this morning. Balloonabella and Eloise are two of my very first bella stamps and ones that I have not used in a long time so I thought it would be fitting to add them to my mission. I am pleased with the way they turned out. :) Dogwalkabella and Circus Seal are stamps I purchased not to long ago and had yet to use. Love the way dogwalkabella turned out I was not sure of the colors when I started her but WOW she turned out better than I expected. My only disappointment was with circus seal. When I started coloring him in I had a different vision than the completed version but I had to walk away from him for a bit last nite and by the time I got back the idea I had was gone. :( I figured oh well as I said yesterday the good with the bad so here he is. I will have to work on him again in the next few days till I create something I like. I have a few ideas for projects for tomorrows post so I will say thank you again for coming and viewing my creations and leaving your wonderful comments. :) See you tomorrow. :)

Day Two Of My Mission!

Wow I never realized how many Bella's I have....lol. Along with them I have a few of the non-bella's so I am going to try and work with these first. (Like that will happen ...... every time I open the binder to look at what stamp I want to attempt next I see my bella's waiving at me...lol.) I love the way the "hibiscus circle" stamp turned out. It was one of the stamps I fell in love with as soon as I saw it. :) My second card was using the"shoebag" stamp and again this is one of those stamps that the possibilities are endless. (Okay who are we kidding the possibilities of ANY bella product are endless...lol) The only thing I found with this card was that I underestimated the time in which it takes white craft ink to dry and the white smeared a bit. I debated posting it but then though oh well gotta show the good with the bad ..... lol. Okay enough yapping for one day I am going to attempt two more projects. :) Thank you for stopping in and taking a look at my creations. :)

Hot! Hot! Hot!

Ok, ok I know I complained about the winter we had in Ontario but ohhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyy if this is any indication on how hot the summer is going to be I am going to be in BIG trouble. (*sighhhhh) It was so hot today the dogs did not want to go outside.

So what is a girl supposed to do.....oh that's easy.... Stay inside and make some cards. :) I have made it a mission to make a card a day (at the least) until I have used up all by bella's and non-bella's. Today I opted for these two stamps. Hope you enjoy and again thank you all who stop in and take a look at my creations and leave your wonderful comments. :) TYFL!

Purple, Purple and More Purple!

Its is only the early hours of Sunday and this is the first time in what seams like forever this weekend that I got to spend "me" time. And to not say the least I am on a purple kick...lol.
All three cards made between yesterday and today have purple in them. The first of my cards made was for our neighbours daughter who is in the hospital. We all wish her a speedy recovery and cant wait to see her smiling face back on our street. She had told me a while back her favourite color was purple so I only saw it fit to make her a card using her favourite color. When we went to visit her in the hopsital Friday nite the first words out of her mouth when she took the card out were "OHHHHHHHH I got one of the nice cards!!!!!!!" (she likes them better than Hallmarks...lol) She is such a sweet girl and it was nice lifting her spirits up even if it was only for a few minutes before she could not sit up anymore. :( The second card made was with my very first Stella that I own. I took Nicky's class last week at the store and what can I say I LOVE STELLA!!!! I was not sure when she first came out but OMG ... LOVE her. Now I need to get more Stella's :) . I made her for my elderly neighbour Betty. Its her birthday Monday. And for those that have ever met Betty they will know the card is fitting. :) Happy Birthday Betty!!!! Last but not least I figure I may as well make a card "just because" :) . Not often I don't put a sentiment on a card but I decided not to on this one as I am not sure when or to whom I will give it to. Ok enough yapping as it is now past 2am...lol. Thank you all for taking the time to stop in and take a look and leave your inspiring comments. Enjoy the rest of the weekend! TYFL!

P.S. If the weather is anything like it was today this last picture is what you will find my family doing.....lol

Mr. Sun Please Come Out!

Those were Penny's first words out of her mouth this morning. She kept on waiving her arms in the air...lol. I think the sun is trying to come out its just taking its time. A little cool out I decided to lock myself in my room and try and be a bit creative. Ok I said I would try...lol. Here are three cards that have been sitting on my desk in pieces that I finally got to finish. I want to take a quick second and thank you all who come and view my cards and leave your comments. They are very inspirational. TYFL!

Two Missions!

Today I had two missions! The first was to make a birthday card for my sister who turns 40 next month and the second was to give Maggoo ( our bichion/shitzu) a bath! Hmmmmmmm.... lets just say the birthday card is made and Maggoo never got his bath. I decided I would let the kids call him the "Incredible Hulk Dog" for one more day. Seams as if when I was mowing the backyard today Mr. Maggoo decided to wait till the grass was shooting out to go and roll in the clippings. *sighhhhhhh. He is white with a few black spots so I am sure you can all imagine how "GREEN" he is. He does look cute so I figured I would work on another card with the new loopy daisy stamp I just got. :) Short and sweet tonight because my alarm clock (the girls) will go off on its own at 7am. TYFL!
