Thank You

Just a quick post as the week has been crazy! My girlfriend Linda had major surgery last month and thank God she pulled through with no problems. Still sore but on the path to recovery. She is the type that always thinks of others first.
When she went into the hospital the amount of love and support that was shown to her was unbelievable. Yet once again she was more concerned about making sure she thanked everyone for all they did for her. She asked if I would make her some thank you cards. Well now how can I say no to that! Her husband and her have become more than just friends to us so it was a no brainer. I chose these stamps from Stampin Up in making the cards and one from Stamping Bella. It was nice using my Stampin Up stamps as it has been a really long time since I had.

Well the people she gave them to her loved them! I was so happy. Now keep in mind the quality of the pictures does them no justice. My camera has been acting up. :( I made a whole bunch of them in these samples and off the went postal.

Ok enough yapping its garbage day. Which means I get the fun job of putting it all out as Nick was not feeling good last night so I sent him off to bed early. :(

I hope everyone has a Happy Thursday and I will make sure I post again soon.

Finally Some Time To Post!

Wow I can not believe that there is only one week till school starts! As sad as I am to see the summer go I will be glad to try and get everyone back on some sort of schedule. Nick came up with the idea that we should get the girls up early every day this week to prepare them for next week. Hmmmmm I see a problem! I am the one trying to get them up...lol. We have been busy beaching it and getting out to do the fun summer stuff when the weather permits. Which translates to me not getting my own time :( . Another good reason to get them off to school!!! ...lol. I have been able to make a few cards in the last couple of weeks. It just does not seam to be the same when I have my four and at least four other friends in the house...lol. I keep telling myself "one" more week!
I will post one of the cards I made today and if I get my laptop back from one of the girls playing on it I will try and post the others...lol.
This card was made with addy 'tude is a cupcake diva. I was able to sneak away from Nick and the girls for a few minutes a couple of weeks ago and I knew as soon as I saw her on Emily's blog that I had to have her! I tried adding the grass and the sun for something different. I am still trying to figure out the easiest way to add more color around my images and I am having a hard time. If there is anyone out there that can suggest something pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee tell me. :)

Ok enough yapping the girls are ready to go to the park. Hope everyone is having a happy Monday and stay tuned hopefully I will get to post twice in one day. :)

Sarah Kay!

I have been dying to get my hand on some Sarah Kay stamps. Guess what???? I got two!!!

I am not sure of the name of this one. But do I look like I care...lol. I colored her in twice because I wanted to use the DP that I did and played around with it. This is the end result!

Short and sweet today. Thank you all that come and view my creations. I hope you are all having a good week.

Happy Birthday Haley!

A week or so ago my friend Teri celebrated her daughter Haley's Sweet 16. She is a striking young lady. I debated on what image to use on her birthday card as she likes "ALL" the stamps I have...lol. As she loves the Ketto line. I chose to use charlotte ketto. She is one of my favourites. Mind you its hard to pick just one in this line of stamps.

I am having a hard time after making all those birthday invites to get back into the groove of things. I had a tone of ideas for projects and poof they are all gone. Mind you the crappy weather we have been having this summer is not helping. :( Can someone pleaseeeeee speak to the sun god and ask him to come out. :(

Ok enough yapping...lol. I just got a whole bunch of new stamps in and I think I will try and be creative. Hope everyone in blogland is having a good week so far and hopefully you will all see another post in the next day or so.

Wow What A Busy Few Weeks!

I am finally taking a breather. I think....lol. It has been super busy around here these last few weeks. Today was the first day I have been able to breath. I have had a lot going on with the girls being off school.

My biggest project this past week was making 60 birthday invitations for my neighbours granddaughter who is celebrating her sweet 16th next month. I was honoured when they asked me if I would make them. I chose to use patricia birthdaycake. She is one of my favourite chichiboulie faries. I tried keeping it as simple as possible as I needed to make a few of them. I stamped the image on the inside of the invitations in purple so it shows through the lettering. I also stamped the image on the front of the envelopes for a little extra touch. I am pleased with the way they turned out. Janessa was soooooo happy and excited when I delivered them to her on Saturday. She is such a sweet young lady.

Second on my agenda was making a birthday card for my girlfriend Pam. She loves elephants! I had a different vision when I was thinking of how to make her card but I must confess I was so tired that this card I posted is what I came up with. She loved it!

I have a few more projects on the go and I will share them with you in the next few days. Thursday is our anniversary so first thing is first. I have to make a card for Nick....lol. Ok its been another late night and I need to be up bright and early. Maria and Niki are participating in a Junior Firefighters Camp this week and let me tell you 7am comes early. Thank you all for coming to take a look. Any comments are greatly appreciated. I hope everyone is having a good week!

Happy Birthday Olivia!

This past week has sure been a busy one. With school finally over and the start of summer holidays I am surprised I am still in one piece...lol. This weekend the girls were invited to a friends daughters birthday party. Oh what a perfect day for a pool party it was on Saturday! Well ok, it was until we all got home Saturday night and five out of the six of us were sunburned. (I was not one of them...lol)
I chose to make a tin for Olivia. She knew I made crafts so I thought this would be a perfect gift as she turned nine and loves to keep things. I used tatiana ketto and made a matching card. I am still thinking I should have added something to the tin. But hmmmm she has it now. She LOVED it which made me happy! Ok off to my next project. I will let you all in on it as soon as I iron out some details...lol.

Thank you all for stopping by to take a look! Hope everyone has a good Monday!

Bellarific Friday!

Oh what a busy time of the year this is. School is a week from being done! "YEAH" No I am not crazy....lol. Well ok maybe just a little bit. :) But let me tell you, at least after next week it wont be so hard trying to get everyone up and out the door for school.
I was sad that I could not participate in last weeks Bellarific challenge. :( But made a point to get a card done this week.
I wanted to keep it nice and simple so I chose solid flowery weeds and the sentiment "especially for you" (sorry I cant seam to find it on the website :( ) As soon as I saw this challenge I knew those were the two stamps I wanted to use.

Ok short and sweet as its late and I still have to get up in the morning to get the girls off to school. So I will thank you all for coming to take a look and I hope you all have a happy Friday!

Bellarific Friday!

It's that time of the week! I just about missed it. *phew* I really enjoyed doing this challenge. I chose to use pierrette pointy toes. She is a must have in my books. She is the type of stamp that can be used for any occasion! I was going to try sewing around the border. But as luck would have it the one and only needle I had left for my sewing machine broke on me. *sigh* Sooooooo I had to improvise. Not to crazy about it but well I had to try.

Thank you all for coming to take a look. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

It's Your Day!

Winter months are slow on birthdays for us. Then out of the blue spring hits and I am sitting now saying "darn it I am out of birthday cards" ... lol. When I checked last week I thought I still had some. Boy was I wrong. The only thing that is bugging me is that I cant find my happy birthday stamp. :( I am sure it is some were in my craft room but I cant remember where.
I have the sentiment "it's your day" from stamping bella but I cant seam to locate it in the sentiments section. *sigh* I hope this is not an indication of how my day is going to be. So I have been using that as it has a variety of uses for different occasions! For the image I used agnes ketto. I can not get enough of her. She is sooooooo darn cute! As you can also tell from my last few postings I have paper pieced her. I love this technique!

Ok enough yapping. I am going to attempt trying to find my missing sentiment (or make a card for these weeks bellarific challenge). Thank you all for coming to take a look. Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday!

Ivy Ketto!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. It has been cold and raining here for most of it and has dampened the mood in everyone. :(
I should be cleaning house after being gone all weekend ..... but shhhhhh .... we wont tell anyone ... lol.
I got the girls off to school and thought I would try and cheer myself up. Well at least that's the story I am sticking to ... lol.
I decided to use ivy ketto for this card and try a layout I have not done in what seams like forever. I am okay with the way the card turned out but I feel as if there is something missing. Hmmmm. Well I guess I will have to go back upstairs and try making something else and hopefully be able to figure out what it is I don't like about it.

Thank you all for coming and taking a look.

New Nestabilitie!

After purchasing a a few different shaped nestabilities last year I saw the spellbinders nestabilities labels one and knew I had to have them! I have made a few cards using the nestabilities as a background for an image. This time I chose to use the largest size as the base of my card. The possibilities for the nestabilities are endless. I love the way this card turned out! I also love the fact that Em has such a wide variety of nestabilties so close to home. If there was ever one stop shopping, this would be it!
For this card I chose to use rumor has it girl. As I noticed I was running low on birthday cards, I thought what a cute image to use as a birthday card! But yet again this is one of those images that can be used for many different occasions! Thank you all for coming and taking a look. Now I am headed back over to Em's blog. Something there about a blog hop??? Sounds like fun!

Happy Birthday Mae!

Zoe's little best friend Mae celebrated her 8th birthday a couple of weeks ago. These two are inseparable. She wanted a special card made for Mae so I chose to use missmatch ketto. This Ketto describes Mae to a "T".

Zoe herself made Mae a card but she ended up giving Mae the card before I had a chance to take a picture of it. :( I will have to remember to ask Mae's mom to take a picture for me and I will post it so you can all see Zoe's creation!
Ok another short and sweet post my craft room is calling...lol.

Thank you all for coming and taking a look at my card I will post again over the weekend!

Bellariffic Friday Sketch!

Note to self : I must try and get some more creative juices flowing. It has been a while since my last post and I have been feeling the withdrawal affects....lol.
I have been able to sneak upstairs and play a bit in my craft room these last couple of days. Oh boy did it feel good. I religiously read Em's blog every day and I have wanted to participate for a while in one of her many terrific sketches and challenges, but have not been able to do so. Today even though I was cutting it close I finished this card and I think its ok. I had more fun participating and that's whats important!
I chose to use agnes ketto for this challenge. She is one of the few Ketto's I purchased a while back and had not used yet. I love the whole Ketto line so it was hard to pick one. Ok its late so I am going to keep this short and sweet but I will post in the net few days and show you the other creations I have come up with. I hope you all have been well and I look forward to any comments you leave!

In Love!

Wow I can not believe it has been this long since my last post. :( To those that have been checking to see if I have made anything, I thank you! My health got the best of me and I have been to under the weather to make anything. :( I am finally on the right track and taking it one day at a time. I wont bore you all with the details but for those that have expressed their concern I can not thank you enough. Hmmmm ok I hope you all understood that...lol.
I want to send two special thank yous to Nicky for all the emails and Eulanda for the beautiful card she sent me wishing me a speedy recovery. I will post the card she sent tomorrow as soon as I figure out where the girls put my camera....lol.
Now for the fun stuff. It has taken me a while to get back into the groove of things. I find that my inspiration came from the few (hahahahaha) Stamping Bella stamps I own.
The teddybella card I made the end of February for Nick's cousin Ellen's baby shower. I was so happy she loved it! Now considering she was due last week and we have yet to hear word on the baby being born I am starting to think the little bugger does not want to come out of his mommy's belly...lol. (Mind you I would not want to come out either after the cold days we have been having since the end of last week.)
The next two cards were made with eloise greengrass and patricia birthdaycake .They have always been two of my favourites.
Not being able to sit long enough to make anything has not discouraged me from keeping up with all of your blogs. And the one that I check religiously is Emily's .
OMG!OMG!OMG! for those of you that have not seen her new line of stamps. Well what can I say. You are MISSING out.
Her ketto stamps are a must. Not only have I been itching to get my hands on one or two. I was feeling well enough yesterday to make a trip down there and get a few. But shhhhhhhhh Nick and the girls don't know I spent more that ummmmm what was that figure....oh ya $9.95....lol.
I AM IN LOVE!!!!! It was so hard to pick which ones to get that I (if you can believe that) had a hard time deciding. I ended up making my first card using a stamp from this new line with
tatiana ketto. I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE her. :)

Ok enough yapping for now. I am feeling some creativity coming on so I am going to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for keeping the faith that I will return. And try and post on a regular bases again. :)

Please feel free to comment on my post or cards as I have missed you all!

Two New Christmas Cards!

Ok another late night :( . But I am calling it quits as soon as I am done this post. It has been a busy week around here. The tree is up. The decorations are hung! And Nick finally put the lights up outside...lol. The girls brought home report cards. All I can say is "YEAH!!!!". The girls did awesome!!! Tomorrow is parent teacher interviews and then they get Friday off.

Ok enough yapping...lol. These are two more Christmas cards I have been working on. Now if all goes as planned I should have them in the mail by Monday :) . Ok I am off to lala land. I hope you are all having a good week and that you have an even better weekend :) . Nite!

Christmas Card Samples!

Ok, ok, I know enough with the tins!!! LOL! Yup I am done making them for a while. I have made one more since my last post but then I kicked it up a notch. Realizing I am running out of time I figured I better get cracking on my Christmas cards. I tell you, for some reason the list keeps getting bigger and bigger each year!
I have a few more images colored in but I am still working on them. *sigh* These are four samples that I am working on multiplying right now. I like making the samples and then doing multiples of each one. One at a time. The santa's clothes a dryin is one of my favourite Stamping Bella Christmas stamps! I am not sure of the ribbon .... so I may end up changing it when I am making a batch of them tomorrow. The other three cards are made with my Rachelle Anne Miller Christmas stamps.

It is hard to see for some reason :( but the colors are not showing properly. Two of the cards are on Handsome Hunter Paper and it is showing up darker in the pictures :( And the snow globe card is hard to see that it is just that! *Note to self .... must make a trip to the FutureShop and figure out what is going on with my camera. :( Hopefully I can figure things out soon.

Ok its been a long day so I am going to head to bed. Thank you all who come and view my blog and leave your inspiring comments! I love reading them! Hope you are all having a good week so far!

Fifi Tin And Then Some!!!!!

Wow I can not believe how fast the time has gone since my last post. It has been a busy time here for us. We are all finally healthy! *Keeping my fingers crossed* The girls had a blast Trick-r-Treating. They went out for almost four hours and Penny did not want to come in at the end....lol.
Last week was our Memorial Service for dad. :( I can not believe a whole year has come and gone. It was a very hard weekend but we managed.
The girls are now counting down the days till Santa comes. I am telling them its to early but hey if they want to...lol.
I was going to make them there tins for Christmas but they walked in on me making them .... so .... they got them early. *sigh*
Penny loves Tinkerbell so it was easy making hers. I just have to remind her she cant put to much into it. It will only hold so much...lol.
Zoe loves my Stamping Bella stamp fifi and the color blue so it was real easy coming up with her tin!

Niki ... well Niki is Niki...lol. She loves anything girly. Hello Kitty has always been a favourite of hers and she screamed when she saw her tin...lol. She still cant believe Hello Kitty has been around longer than I have..lol.

Maria is so not a girly girl. *sigh* She wanted a plain tin that is not too childish. (Ok no one has given her permission to grow up :( ) So I kept hers as simple as possible.

I have also managed to start working on my Christmas cards and hopefully I will be done by the end of next week. Dang it my list keeps getting longer and longer...lol. I finally got my order of Rachelle Anne Miller Christmas stamps so I am going to use those and my Stamping Bella ones!

The snowman used in these cards is one of my new stamps!

Ok enough yapping I need to get laundry folded, supper started and hopefully make it back up here to make more Christmas cards. Thank you all who come and view my blog and leave your inspiring comments. They mean a lot to me!

For Me!

It has been a busy week here. Between Nick's uncles funeral :( . Doctors appointments. Taking the girls to the Ontario Science Centre. (They had an absolute blast!!!!) I am finally glad to be back up here making things. I made a boo boo though :( . I made an altered clipboard and altered lunch tin for my girlfriend Lori's daughter and forgot to take pictures of them before giving them to her. *sighhhhhh* I will have to run down there tonight and take pictures to show you all.
I had bought two lunch tins from Michaels a while back and had never used them yet. I bit the bullet and I am glad I did. I like the way they turned out! I am always making things for others so this time I made myself the second tin. Now the only problem will be as soon as the girls see it after school well ..... I am sure you can all guess what I will be doing in the next few days!!! LOL. I used Stamping Bella's pierrette pointy toes. There is something about this stamp that I love!!!!

This also gave me the opportunity to see if I like the way they turn out as I was thinking of making some as Christmas gifts.

Thank you all for coming and taking a look and leaving your inspiring comments. I hope you are all having a good week!

Thank You Lori!

There are very few cards I make that I like. Yesterdays was one that I really liked! So ... I decided to try it again. This time using Stamping Bella's curly leafy flourish.
My neighbour Lori has been a godsend this past two weeks I have been under the weather. Taking the kids so I can rest. Cooking. All the little things that need to get done on a day to day bases. (Hmmmmm she never folded the clean socks...lol) I have been trying to think of how to say thank you. Finally having the energy to come up here I decided to make her a card. She loves the cards I make but I had never made her one for some reason. I just took it over and left it on her door so she finds it when she gets home from work today. I hope she likes it.
I made a second card the same but with a different sentiment that I want to mail out to a friend. Now as she checks my blog on a regular bases I cant tell you who she is but I will as soon as I know she has received it.
The third card I made is from alota Rubber Stamps but oh man I can not remember the name of it. :( It was a whole sheet of stamps that I cut up into individual stamps. Love them all!!!! I will try and remember it and let you know when I do.

Ok enough yapping I am off to work on another project. Thank you all for your comments yesterday over the loss in our family it means a lot to me. Happy Tuesday!

With Sympathy

This has been a very long month for our family. Between me being sick and some other health issues. The girls are now getting sick one at a time :( . The hardest part of this month (so far) is the sad news that this past Saturday we lost Nick's uncle to cancer. I am glad he is not in pain anymore but it is still hard. I find his death personally hard because he was close to my dad. The only comfort is that now dad will have his backgammon partner back. I chose to use Stamping Bellas solid flowery weeds for the sympathy card I made. Nicks uncle was a simple man like my father so I tried to keep it as simple as possible. May Uncle George rest in piece and may his family find the strength to get through this difficult time. We are all there for them.

Being away from my craft room has been hard the second card is one I had colored in at the beginning of the month and finally finished last night.

Thank you all for coming and viewing the cards I have made and I hope you all have a good Monday!
