Two New Christmas Cards!

Ok another late night :( . But I am calling it quits as soon as I am done this post. It has been a busy week around here. The tree is up. The decorations are hung! And Nick finally put the lights up outside...lol. The girls brought home report cards. All I can say is "YEAH!!!!". The girls did awesome!!! Tomorrow is parent teacher interviews and then they get Friday off.

Ok enough yapping...lol. These are two more Christmas cards I have been working on. Now if all goes as planned I should have them in the mail by Monday :) . Ok I am off to lala land. I hope you are all having a good week and that you have an even better weekend :) . Nite!

Christmas Card Samples!

Ok, ok, I know enough with the tins!!! LOL! Yup I am done making them for a while. I have made one more since my last post but then I kicked it up a notch. Realizing I am running out of time I figured I better get cracking on my Christmas cards. I tell you, for some reason the list keeps getting bigger and bigger each year!
I have a few more images colored in but I am still working on them. *sigh* These are four samples that I am working on multiplying right now. I like making the samples and then doing multiples of each one. One at a time. The santa's clothes a dryin is one of my favourite Stamping Bella Christmas stamps! I am not sure of the ribbon .... so I may end up changing it when I am making a batch of them tomorrow. The other three cards are made with my Rachelle Anne Miller Christmas stamps.

It is hard to see for some reason :( but the colors are not showing properly. Two of the cards are on Handsome Hunter Paper and it is showing up darker in the pictures :( And the snow globe card is hard to see that it is just that! *Note to self .... must make a trip to the FutureShop and figure out what is going on with my camera. :( Hopefully I can figure things out soon.

Fifi Tin And Then Some!!!!!

Wow I can not believe how fast the time has gone since my last post. It has been a busy time here for us. We are all finally healthy! *Keeping my fingers crossed* The girls had a blast Trick-r-Treating. They went out for almost four hours and Penny did not want to come in at the end....lol.
Last week was our Memorial Service for dad. :( I can not believe a whole year has come and gone. It was a very hard weekend but we managed.
The girls are now counting down the days till Santa comes. I am telling them its to early but hey if they want to...lol.
I was going to make them there tins for Christmas but they walked in on me making them .... so .... they got them early. *sigh*
Penny loves Tinkerbell so it was easy making hers. I just have to remind her she cant put to much into it. It will only hold so much...lol.
Zoe loves my Stamping Bella stamp fifi and the color blue so it was real easy coming up with her tin!

Niki ... well Niki is Niki...lol. She loves anything girly. Hello Kitty has always been a favourite of hers and she screamed when she saw her tin...lol. She still cant believe Hello Kitty has been around longer than I have..lol.

Maria is so not a girly girl. *sigh* She wanted a plain tin that is not too childish. (Ok no one has given her permission to grow up :( ) So I kept hers as simple as possible.

I have also managed to start working on my Christmas cards and hopefully I will be done by the end of next week. Dang it my list keeps getting longer and longer...lol. I finally got my order of Rachelle Anne Miller Christmas stamps so I am going to use those and my Stamping Bella ones!

The snowman used in these cards is one of my new stamps!

Ok enough yapping I need to get laundry folded, supper started and hopefully make it back up here to make more Christmas cards. Thank you all who come and view my blog and leave your inspiring comments. They mean a lot to me!

For Me!

It has been a busy week here. Between Nick's uncles funeral :( . Doctors appointments. Taking the girls to the Ontario Science Centre. (They had an absolute blast!!!!) I am finally glad to be back up here making things. I made a boo boo though :( . I made an altered clipboard and altered lunch tin for my girlfriend Lori's daughter and forgot to take pictures of them before giving them to her. *sighhhhhh* I will have to run down there tonight and take pictures to show you all.
I had bought two lunch tins from Michaels a while back and had never used them yet. I bit the bullet and I am glad I did. I like the way they turned out! I am always making things for others so this time I made myself the second tin. Now the only problem will be as soon as the girls see it after school well ..... I am sure you can all guess what I will be doing in the next few days!!! LOL. I used Stamping Bella's pierrette pointy toes. There is something about this stamp that I love!!!!

This also gave me the opportunity to see if I like the way they turn out as I was thinking of making some as Christmas gifts.

Thank You Lori!

There are very few cards I make that I like. Yesterdays was one that I really liked! So ... I decided to try it again. This time using Stamping Bella's curly leafy flourish.
My neighbour Lori has been a godsend this past two weeks I have been under the weather. Taking the kids so I can rest. Cooking. All the little things that need to get done on a day to day bases. (Hmmmmm she never folded the clean socks...lol) I have been trying to think of how to say thank you. Finally having the energy to come up here I decided to make her a card. She loves the cards I make but I had never made her one for some reason. I just took it over and left it on her door so she finds it when she gets home from work today. I hope she likes it.
I made a second card the same but with a different sentiment that I want to mail out to a friend. Now as she checks my blog on a regular bases I cant tell you who she is but I will as soon as I know she has received it.
The third card I made is from alota Rubber Stamps but oh man I can not remember the name of it. :( It was a whole sheet of stamps that I cut up into individual stamps. Love them all!!!! I will try and remember it and let you know when I do.

Ok enough yapping I am off to work on another project. Thank you all for your comments yesterday over the loss in our family it means a lot to me. Happy Tuesday!

With Sympathy

This has been a very long month for our family. Between me being sick and some other health issues. The girls are now getting sick one at a time :( . The hardest part of this month (so far) is the sad news that this past Saturday we lost Nick's uncle to cancer. I am glad he is not in pain anymore but it is still hard. I find his death personally hard because he was close to my dad. The only comfort is that now dad will have his backgammon partner back. I chose to use Stamping Bellas solid flowery weeds for the sympathy card I made. Nicks uncle was a simple man like my father so I tried to keep it as simple as possible. May Uncle George rest in piece and may his family find the strength to get through this difficult time. We are all there for them.

Being away from my craft room has been hard the second card is one I had colored in at the beginning of the month and finally finished last night.

Late Nite!

Ok I should be in bed. This cold has now turned into a nasty cough and I am lucky if I get a full hours sleep at one time. :( I debated saving this post till Tuesday but as you all can see I am here...lol. I am going away for the weekend! Not something I get to do that often but when the opportunity came up how can I say no!!!...lol.
I wanted to share two cards I made with my new stamps from Alota Rubber Stamps! The problem I had was I ordered a few and had a hard time picking what I wanted to try first...lol. These two won!

Happy Birthday Penny!

Considering I got little to no sleep last night thanks to this lovely cough I have :( I was surprised that I remembered to take a picture of Penny before she left for school! Lol!
Today my baby girl turns the BIG "7". She for once in her life woke up on time and got herself all ready for school on her own! Lunch bag and everything!!!! Ok I could not resist I commented....lol. Her response was "mummy I am 7 now I can do it all on my own". I wanted to melt inside but if you know Penny you know this wont last....lol. I think she thought she was getting her presents before Nick got home from school...lol.

She loved the stamp named after her but she asked if I could use Stamping Bella's pierreet pointy toes it is her favourite stamp. Of course I also fell in love with her from the minute I saw her and it is a stamp that I had not used in a while so it was fun making her all up again. Now as long as I can stop coughing I will finish up the matching little notebook that I was working on. :(

At least the card is done ....phewwwwwwwwww. I will try and remember to post it when I am done.

Meet Penny!

Finally got some energy back tonight and thought I would work on a very special card to me. This character is called "Penny" like my youngest daughter! If you know my daughter then you would know she is exactly like this little girl. After arguing all night I finally got her to bed or I would show her tonight. Shhhhhhhhh I will wait till the morning .... lol. Hope you all like her as much as I do!

Cough Cough :(

Dang I cant kick this cold if my life depended on it. :( I have noticed some of you are also getting sick . :( Hopefully this is not an indication of whats to come over the winter months. Hawaii sure sounds good right about now...lol. I am headed back to bed to try and get some sleep while the girls are in school but I thought I would post real quick. Very Short And Sweet!

This cold has gotten the best of me so I will just say that I got my order in today from Whiff of Joy. This one is called "Winter Charlotte with Cat". Love it!!! Ok back to bed for me. :(

A Long Overdue Post!

Ok take two!!! I was just about done the post when my computer had a mind of its own *sighhhhh. This time I am going to keep it realllllllll short...lol.
I have so much to do and found no time this week to do any of it. :( I am locking myself in here this coming week and the troops will have to fend for themselves...lol. Mind you fighting a sinus cold is not helping matters :( .

Happy Birthday Laura!

Today is my daughters friend Laura's Birthday! She has finally hit the double digits (10 ....lol) . Ok now I feel OLD for some reason...lol. Laura and my girls became instant friends when we first moved to Bowmanville. She loves the cards I make and was hoping that she will get one today for her birthday. I had to pretend that I have not had time to make her anything and that I was going to go to a store and buy her a card. Poor thing looked so sad when I said that. She loves to read so I found it fitting to use my new stamp from "Whiff Of Joy" tittled "Melinda Reading Book" by Elisabeth Bell. I also made her one of my little notebooks decorated in the same stamp. I cant wait to see her reaction in the morning when she comes over so they girls can all walk to school together! Happy Birthday Laura and many more to come!

When I first saw "santa's clothes a dryin' " I knew I had to get this stamp. Ohhhhh I am sooooo happy I did. Love it!!!!! The possibilities are endless. I am not sure how much I love what I did with the stamp in these two cards. I had the perfect DP I wanted to use but of course just because I want to use it does not mean I can find it....lol.

I will have to go paper hunting later today before I burst...lol.

The third card I am sharing is my very first attempt at a Elisabeth Bell stamp. I had other ideas for her when I was putting her together but got scared she did not look good so I decided to keep her simple. Thank you all for coming and viewing my creations and for leaving you inspiring comments!

Short And Sweet

It has been a long day with all the rain we have had today. :( The only advantage was that I got to stay inside and play some more......hehehehehe.

I made two new cards and actually like both of them for once...lol. But....I must admit I very rarely like what I end up with as a finished product. Today was different. I fell in love with the way I decorated the little note holder!

I was actually able to sneak away and go back to Michaels and oops I cleared them out of all the little note holders. The cashier probably thought I was spun or something...lol.

Ok like I said short and sweet my creative juices are at a high right now so I am going back to making more things now that the house is quiet. :)

My Beary Best Friend!

People come and go in our lives but few leave a footprint in out hearts. Three years ago I met a very special lady online while playing euchre of all things...lol. We instantly became very good friends and talk just about everyday either online or on the phone. She is one of the few people that have come into my life that I know, no matter what or where if I needed her she would be there for me. I was fortunate enough to meet her and her husband three years ago. It was a weekend I will never forget!!!!

Deanna received a little bear from her husband a while back when she was feeling under the weather and she treasures the little guy something fierce. :)

When I saw this stamp set I knew I had to get it but did not want to make just anything. Every time I look at it I think of Deanna's little bear who she calls "Babybear". So in honour of Babybear I chose to use this little note book holder I had to make something very special. :)

I hope Deanne and Babybear like it as much as I do. :)

Togethah Forevah!

Ok so here is my story....lol. I colored this image in yesterday and then realized I did not have any paper that I liked to go with it. (*sighhhhhhhhhh*) As a result I made the "Togetha Forevah" card that I posted yesterday. Well it was nagging at me and I knew I had to finish it somehow. This is the final result. I hope you all like it as much as I do. :) Now back to trying to create something with my images that are colored in and waiting for me ... lol. Thank you all for the amazing comments that you have been leaving me. Your all a wonderful inspiration!!! :)

Busy! Busy! Busy!

Well the girls have survived three full days at school. And the best is the school has not called for me to come and get Penny for misbehaving...lol. For those that know my youngest she is a handful. Since they have been back at school I have been trying to come up here and play and I must say I am in love with the time I get to spend up here again. There are no more sneaking in minutes here and there. WOO HOO!!!

I have a few images that I have colored in but they are still in the process of being made into something. Here are the two cards that I have been able to finish.

The first card is using "Little Witchy". I absolutely fell in love with her as soon as I saw her. Then again how can you not, she is so darn cute!

The second card I made was with "Togetha Forevah". I am actually upset with myself that I did not pick her up last week but waited for this week. :( I like the way the card turned out but it seams to be missing something. :( I had other visions of what to do with the card and I forgot to make a sketch so by the time I went to put it together I had forgotten what my original plans were . :( Well cant do much now and I still love the stamp :) . I actually have it colored in with my copics and will show you the final product as soon as I have it put together.

OK enough yapping for now I have about 20 minutes before supper time so I am going to take full advantage of my time . :) Thank you all for coming and viewing my creations and leaving all your amazing comments. :)

Happy Long Weekend!

Well ok technically its almost over but shhhhhhh don't tell my girls that. If you do they know whats coming in the morning. SCHOOL!!!! Yeah!!!!! Oh wait that's me being excited not them...lol.

First and for most I want to apologize for being a slacker in posting. Between health and kids it has been a long summer. I am looking forward to getting my "Me" time again. Second I want to say a veryyyyyyyyy special "THANK YOU" to Simone (you can view her AWESOME creations at her blog: http://www.simonecampbell.blogspot.com/) with honouring me with an award!!! I still feel like the new kid on the block and this award and the one I received not to long ago from Heather mean the world to me. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Now down to what I have been up to since my last post. Hmmmmm trying to create but has been difficult with the girls wanting to go here and there and everywhere but my craft room....lol. The little bit of time I was able to sneak away I was able to come up with these cards. The fishafella was for my neighbour Rick who had his birthday last week. My sister had a friends wedding yesterday and I forgot to make a card so the wedding one was totally last minute. :( She loved it, I wished I had more time. The rest are ones I made last week but never had a chance to post.
